Select by location allows us to select features in one layer (the target) that have a spatial relationship with another layer (the source). These relationships include:
Intersect: Select features the target layer that intersect with features in the source layer
Within a distance: Select features in the target layer that are within a specified distance of features in the source layer
Contain: Select features in the target layer that are contained within the features in the source layer
Identical: Select features in the target layer that are identical to features in the source layer
Touch: Select features in the target layer that touch features in the source layer
